outhook the Phenom if drilled strongly? If both balls had the same drilling, and out of box coverstocks were identical, which would hook more? (let's not get into a coverstock/drilling pattern discussion)
I was now thinking about getting the AU, and seeing between that ball and my Phenom which one hooks more (I am anticipating the AU will hook more), and then shining up the one that hooks less. Then use the one that hooks more for long oil, and then the other one shined on most other conditions to start out...I have not shined my Phenom, but would love to try it shined, but right now that ball is my "oiler" so need to leave it dull.
As a further aside, shined my TT up more, and added a weight hole...the ball had a smoother move off of the dry even though I added shine, the ball went longer, and it amazed me because the pins seemed to mix much better than before (with the smoother reaction), so I like this ball now...this is only after a few games, but I will update on this ball after I use it more with the weight hole now...

Bob pretty much covered everything.
Phenom- Particle
Untamed- Reactive, weaker core.
For oil in most cases a particle coverstock is going to hand it better.

Your Phenom in going to rev up much faster than the Untamed, so with the Phenom being particle it will hook more in oil. And you shouldnt have to polish the Untamed much its already polished, at least mine was.
