Title: Slash drilling help please
Post by: slammin60123 on August 15, 2006, 03:22:03 AM
Ball:15# 4"pin 3 3/4 tw.
I understand it is a great control ball but how
strong canthis ball be drilled i was thinking of
something like 4x2 for a strong midlane read.

Hey slammin,

The 4x2 is a nice stable layout and should give you what you're looking for.  The ball natuarally is smooth and predictable so this will will only enhance that.  Good luck and keep us posted.

I like the 4x2 layout. I would keep the pin even with the fingers if possible....if not slightly below the finger line.

Keep us posted on your thoughts.

Did you happen to try the 2000 Abralon on the surface?

i plan on waiting untill i use it again friday nite to see how it works
sometimes it takes 10-12 games to break the cover in but i think at 2000
i will get a little more length which would help greatly on the "THS"
i am bowling on.

That would help a little with length...but with the pin at 3 1/2 from PAP....it is still going to pick up pretty early.

the ball had no problem getting down the lane its when it gets to the end of the pattern it snaped left which was ok i just had to move left but on a "THS" this ball allowed me to play in the middle where the oil is and still have enough pop left to carry ten in the pit.
