Was anyone else surprised by the ball review in BTM on this ball? The way I was reading Track's website I would of thought that the ball would be more for medium oil but on BTM's medium oil the ball only received a 7 on the stroker and on heavy it received a nine. The Slash looks almost tamer by BTM's evaluation. Anyone own both?

The thing I have always said about Bowling This Month is while it gives you a great starting point, trying to compare balls from different months are very tough as conditions change. I think comparisons between balls done the same months can give you a decent pic, trying to compare balls from different months is like trying to compare apples to oranges.

I'm guessing the major difference is probably the OOB surface difference between the two. I think their ratings are based off of the OOB surface. The Slash is around 1200 grit and the Solution 900 which would make the Solution handle a tad big more oil. The Solution is a little cleaner and just a tad weaker when both are the same surface.

chappy nailed it. When BTM reviews a ball they are giving the numbers on the OOB surface. My Slash is probably 2-3 stronger than the Solution.
Word of advice when reading BTM or BJI's reviews.....read the words, throw the numbers out of the door.
