Since you have a Storm arsenal....why not just stay with Storm and buy a Passion? If you want to try Track...for heavy oil go with the Robo Rule. If you want Columbia go with the Action. Visionary has the heavy, heavy oiler AMD Centaur Particle. Ebonite has the Infinite One. Roto Grip has the Epic Battle. All are fine balls and will do the job for you drilled properly, meaning drilled so you get the best out of the ball.

Well if he wanted the best ball from the company for oil, I would say these from every company

Track- Rule gp2
storm- fear factor
columbia- epxt1
amf- teminal velocity
viz- amb centar

There is a good ball from every company, no one really out performace the other because not everyone throws the same way. One ball make work for someone and not anouther. It is all up to you and finding the one that looks like it will play to your game better. Yet if you need some help on drilling I sure that our layout masters on here would be happy to help you out.

The passion might be a little too aggressive on the backends for you, generally on flatter patterns you want something that gets into a roll earlier, so anything with a low RG and an aggressive coverstock would work...  The Diablo seemingly would be a good piece if you want to stick with storm, but i would honestly suggest an Ultimate Inferno/Scorching Inferno.  I think you will be able to control the backends better with those two as opposed to anything else on the market right now.

ML_Bowler,

Track's best heavy oil ball in the current lineup is the Robo Rule. It rolls pretty early and still backends well for a dull ball.

Without question it is above the Agent in how well it will handle oil.

Actually visionaries heavy oil ball is now the AMB Immortal Pearl.  Anyways for heavy oil in my opinion the best ball was the GP2, however it is now no longer on the current line up since it has been discontinued. You could probably still fine one somewhere if you really wanted to.  Out to the current line up though I would say that the robo rule is the most aggressive ball

To the above poster-

The Immortal Pearl is nowhere near a heavy oil ball.  In fact, there isn't a pearl resin on the market that is a good option for heavy oil.  The Immortal pearl will handle medium to medium light.  The AMB particle, which IS a ball designed for heavy oil, would be a much better option.

I think that for 40+ foot flat pattern you will want to stay in the middle of the lane and try to play real deep.  As the lane starts to break down, typically I see a lot of people going even further left.  For me, I like to use something not too dull because of the reduced volume of oil in the middle of the lane.  I have had good success with a Vapor Zone, drilled pin just above ring finder and CG just above middle of grip, puts my MB locator just right of my thumb.  I just like to have something that I know will get through the heads.

Maybe I don't know what is being asked, because heavy oil and heavy oil "flat" kind of confuses me.

ML_BOWLER iif you want something for a 42ft oil pattern get the Mean Machine I bought it for the same reason, id needed a ball for long oil patterns, where the Machine and my Trifecta won´t react early enough. Ilove the mean machine its just a great ball reads the lane early, but is no big hook ball, you better keep it deep. Well that´s only my personal eyperience I hope it helps you

Thank s for all you guys!

Some guy tell me about the big bang, infinity one... try to get a good reaction in the backend and not in the star.. i agreed with that but.. i think this only works to the cranker players (like me) so.. thats why i talk abput the agent.. in this week i play in the 42ft flat real condition for the tournamet because the first weeks the 42 looks like with a heavy oil of units. so i play with the agent in the game 1.-257 2.- 235 and 3.- 224, the ball dont have problems with the carry down. well i just want to tell us what happen.

Some guy from Morich  talking aboput the AWESOME HOOk.. What do you think, somebody allready have one?

Gretins. and THANKS A LOT!

Hey ML,

The Mean Machine will easily handle this condition based on your scores with the Agent.  It offers a stronger mid lane read with very good continuation on the back.  Remember, with the ball being asymmetrical, we can control the breakpoint shape to any desired look.  Hope this helps some...
