New league high for me with Mean Machine...
« on: January 03, 2007, 01:03:50 PM »
Well, keeping up with my progress in my tougher Wednesday night league in Cambridge Lanes And Games, I think I learned something last week with the Mean Machine that seems to react very well in this house. As long as I keep the speed slow, the fingers soft and project the ball down the lane, my ball reaction seems to improve dramatically for this house. Before I thought I had to use more surface to get better ball movement, but I would say over my past 5 games in this house that would not be the case.

Tonight I had 31 strikes in 36 frames. 1 split (7-8 which I made), 3 single pins and a 3-5-6. My scores were 258-256-279= 793. My 6th 790+ set in my lifetime but highest set in about 10 years. Believe it or not I didn't win all my matchpoints though- as I lost game two 274-273 as my opponent threw a 238 at me and he had more handicap going into the match than I did (36 to 17).

So far I've had a 761 and a 793 with this ball in this house- the Mean Machine is a winner with me.

Matt

I've noticed that more and more with my MM as well, only I'm finding that I can put a lot more speed in my MM which results in greater pin splashing.  Its my only ball where I know I wont have to hold back on my release to make sure its gets enough time to hook up.

Not too shabby for a wrongsider!......Great bowling Matt!  I had mine taken down to 500 for heavier stuff and it gives me a very nice smooth strong arc now.  Very impressed with the flexibility in cover adjustment...
