Not sure about the messenger line, but the core in the Crash is the same as the one they used in the Voodoo. I dont know about the oob surface, wait a while, someone else will chime in.

Hey Brian,

From what I remember, it resembled more the Ti-Messenger without the Ti-insert.  Not sure if they tweaked the flip block to vary in density but the overall shape looked pretty similar.  Hope this helps...

On edit: Forgot to mention that it comes polished with Magic Shine.

Brian,

Same core as Ti Messengers minus the Ti nugget. As Rick mentioned, they may have changed densities in the flip block, but I am not sure on that.

After much thought...I'm not getting a rule. The pattern seeing more often than not is barely enough for my Tour Power. The only draw-back is the quick carrydown. Usually I move deeper as the lanes dry and not get into the 2nd arrow mess that most everyone else is fighting. Anyway, I'm thinking that a rule would be too much ball for this condition. I remember tearing shots like this up w/ my messenger ti blk/gold. I'm thinking/hoping that the crash drilled strong will excel in this area. My tour power is drilled fairly weak 3*5.5. It doesn't carry corner pins that well on carrydown from that deep of an inside line. FWIW my Ti messenger was drilled 4*4 and loves to be swung out on the lane and carried well from deep inside. Any ideas, am I right in thinking the rule will be too much? Perhaps a rule drilled fairly weak will work? I just remember how much I liked my ti messenger, looking at the crash, I want it. Also, looking at the crunchtime....having triton elite pearl flash backs....won a ton of $$ with that piece, too.  Decisions, decisions

Hey Brian,

The Crash is close to the Ti-Mess but I feel it's a tad weaker.  I think you're correct in looking for something just a little stronger like the Crunch Time or Sheer Havoc even.  Your Tour Power is naturally a little more even to begin with so with that pattern on it as well, it should make it pretty stable causing the difficulty in turning the corner from an inside line.  A Rule drilled weak is also a possibility but you'll need some kind of head oil to help you get it down lane.  I like the idea of a Sheer Havoc to a Crunch Time if the lane is drier up front.  Hope this helps...

I'm thinking that a Sheer Havoc would be too much and possibly
the Crunchtime would be not enough. Looking for "Goldie-Locks"
Just right!! LOL About me...I have a low track PAP 4 5/16 over
1/4 up. I tend to like solid finishs on my equipment, perhaps
with a touch of polish. Length drillings don't really help me,
either. I like to play deep inside and I'm struggling on a fresh
shot that carries down "super-fast." My only ball that works;
even remotely, is a 3*5.5 Tour Power. Guessing that I need only a
slight step up in overall performance. Stronger drill/core/cover.
I going with Track, they seem to dominate this area. However, the
guys here all seem to use high end stuff like animals and untamed.
Those seem far too strong for me. I'm basically getting the job
done w/ that tour power. Current average is 213. So w/ out struggling
the last game or so, I'd average 220 and dominate. I need that little
to get me over the hump. That's why this is so frustrating. I know what
I want, just all the new stuff out is soo stinking strong on the lane.
Super Charge basically drilled label made me look like Robert Smith.
Guys watched me bowl, as I was launching the left gutter cap on that
fresh shot. Anyway, sorry to ramble, it's early and the coffee kicked in.
LOL! Really all I need is a touch stronger than a 3*5.5 tour power. I prefer
polished solid and have scored well with 4*4 and 4.5*4.5 type layouts.
Really interested in Crash and CrunchTime, now looking at the Havoc and
the Sheer Havoc aswell. The Rule also keeps sparking my interest, but the way
that Super Charge reacted I don't think it will be beneficial for my game.
Whoa, this is probably the longest post I've ever made in my 4+ years on BR!

I'll say it again...Rick and EX....Thanks again for your time patience and advice.

Try the Crunchtime. This is the best core/coverstock combo that I have thrown in the last 5 years.
