I just picked up a NIB 1st qaulity 14 pound Strike Machine off Ebay for a great price. I bought it for my wife when she starts bowling again after the baby...
Since this is an international release, just curious where it fits in the U.S. Machine line of balls..
any help would be appreciated..

HEY GUYS!
The Strike Machine basically is a polished Mean Machine. Back when BOWLERSTORE came across a ton of these, they put a video out on their web site showing the differences between it, the original Machine, and Mean Machine. I personally had one and sold it because I didn't get the reaction I desired from it. I even tried plugging and giving it another layout, I still didn't like what I was seeing reaction wise. In conclusion, it will get more length than the Mean Machine and give you a decent amount of backend. Hope this helps! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Strike Machine Coverstock: Nano-Threadâ„¢ Reactive
Reaction Shape: Strong Arc
Lane Condition: Medium
Mean Machine Coverstock: Fang LS Control
Reaction Shape: Strong Flip
Lane Condition: Heavy Oil
How can the Strike Machine basically be a polished Mean Machine when they have different coverstocks and different reactions?

It is all about layout and the bowler's PAP. Another thing you could do to compare is polish a Mean Machine up, keep the Strike Machine OOB and throw them side by side. Then you would see why I say it is basically a polished Mean Machine. Also, both covers are reactives.
I see what you are saying by coverstock differences but my proof is that I've thrown both of these balls. As stated above, I polished my Mean Machine and kept the Strike Machine OOB and threw them side by side. The result? Pretty much the same reaction. I loved the Mean Machine OOB; however, once polished...I ended up selling it. Hope this clarifies my original post! God Bless You All and have a great week!

I have 2 of them. One drilled 5x5 with box finish, pin is in the middle and above the fingers and the mb is about 1 inch to the right of the thumb.
The other drilled 4x4.5 to 5. Pin is just at the top of the ring finger mb is to the left of the thumb by a hair. Cover was taken down with a used gray pad.
I like both balls, not for heavy but more for medium to medium heavy. I can use the gray pad ball on fresh and play the ball more up and towards the pocket.
The oob ball is more for medium or when the shot is starting go go away. Have shot 740's with both balls. The rg of these balls fit in my game very well.
I am contemplating taking the 5x5 to Reno, but I am not sure about the oil I hear is there.
