Threat Surface Change

I have acquired another Threat for my arsenal. I am considering having the ball wet sanded to @800 and then apply a light coat of polish. I am hoping to get a bit more mid-lane without purchasing a Triple Threat. Anyone try this?

I would suggest to wet sand the ball to 400 grit, then apply polish. It will give you length while saving the energy for the backend. I did this to a friend's Hex and it made that ball react like an Inferno.
