IMHO, you all have been doing an excellent job.  My questions are usually answered quite promptly.  The nice thing is, I know 2 of you (Clint and EX) are from Ohio which is nice to know that I can take a short drive sometime if I want some face to face advice.  Keep up the great work.  I am converting to Track, so I am sure I will have more questions.

I love Track and the Track Staffers; they have awesome equipment, and the staffers are very courteous and they help anyone in any way they can.  They don't hold any bias in their answers.

1. yes.
2. yes.
3. no.
4. slightly (for the occasional 'newbies')
5. definitely yes.

You guys have done an excellent job thus far as answering any questions or concerns.  I personally feel that you guys haven't been too technical (because I read a lot about bowling and bowling balls prior to finding this site), but for some people, your answers may get a little confusing.

Keep up the great job! It's nice to have Track staff help in any way they can!

Maybe dummy answers down a bit for guys like me who don't get the technical stuff very much.

4- Do you feel that we have been too technical in our answers?
Only for me.  I'm sure that others understand pretty well.  In time, I'll understand too.

You guys are the best!

1. You guys have done an excellent job. I usually end up asking a couple of people on this forum the same questions and pick their brains to get the best layouts and surface prep in mind for the balls that I'm choosing.

2. Again, this would be an A+ in my book.

3. No.

4. No. Rick and Carl have always talked to me at the level that I'm aware of- and when I don't understand something, you guys have taken the time to compare and contrast to areas that I am familiar with.

5. Yes you've been most knowledgeable in the answers you've given.

When I was looking for a heavy oil ball, the thing that I enjoyed the most about the guys in the Track forum is there were willing to compare and contrast what the Track heavy oil offerings would do in relation to other ball companies.
I'm more than satisified with all of the guys on this site that help us out and also let us know about the new equipment and how it stacks up to other balls in the Track line.

Keep up the excellent work Clint, Ex, Tenpinspro, Achap and everyone else...

Matt

my answers....

1.  Yes
2.  Yes.  Shihan Rick has answered a crap load of questions for me
3.  Yes/No.  Some answers are redundant but it's always good to have different perspectives
4.  Not at all.  Then again depends upon the level of comprehension.  Shihan Rick provides good analogies.  Easily understood.
5.  Yes.  Again, read #4

Well, the Track forum is very informative.  Of course depending on the inquiry (aside from 'where does this fit').   Shihan Rick (a.k.a. TenPinsPro) has suggested some things to elevate my game.  A good understanding/foundation always helps.  I think patience is a must.  I can only agree with what others have stated, he's helped a great deal.

Hi Ex,

You've helped me a couple of times, plus we have a mutual friend in ChuckG. I read this forum just about everyday although I only post once in a blue moon. In answer to you poll:

1. Yes, you have done a GREAT JOB!
2. Yes, you give, what I feel is real good, unbiased advice, based on the info you are given.
3. Not to my knowledge. Keep everything the same.
4. No, I don't think you have been too technical.  Unfortunately, we have a sport where there are some very import terms, ie..PAP,cG,MB,VAL, etc..... In order to understand why todays equipment reacts the way they do, anyone who is real serious about bowling and improving their game, should have a basic understanding of these terms.  Sometimes, I admit, it is hard to visualize certain layouts, but I am getting better at it.  What alot bowlers fail to understand, is how individual each one of us is.  They need to understand their game first before just bowling a ball because "my best friend owns one and throws alot of hook with it and I want that".  They need to understand that what works for their friend may or may not work for me.  I am not a cranker, therefor layouts that are designed to benefit the cranker will not work for me.  Off topic...sorry...You are not too technical, at least in my opinion.
5. As I made mention before...Great Job.

As far as any other comments or suggestions, how about a general post on some of the technical terms that are discussed here on the forums with definitions.  Somehow if it could be posted at the top all the time, that would help alot of first time bowlers.  Maybe if there was a way to have simple diagrams that would help too, not sure how that could be done though.

Thank you Ex for all the effort you put into this forum.  Thank goodness I am friends with Chuck.  He has helped in so many ways with my game.  I owe alot to him.  Hope this helps.  Thank You!

Brian,

You might want to check out an unoffical FAQ that one of our "inmates" has been kind enough to put together. It was alot of work, but I think there is a LOT of very valuable information in it. Be ready for a lot of reading but see:

http://home.mchsi.com/~s-cross-7-28-71/FAQ.htm

I have it saved and bookmarked/placed in Favorites.

EXCALIBER,

I can't even believe you have to ask such a question (Unless Track needs to evaulate your job here for a future pay raise ). The job you, tenpinspro (Rick) and clintdaley & others have done here is exemplary. No one can have misunderstood any suggestion or recommendation any of you have made. (How one of you is is within about an hour or usually less of answering almost any question still amazes me.) If they need it detailed and complex or very simple, you have provided that. The more amazing part is how restrained you have been in providing propaganda (That is a compliment). WHile you praise Track products, you have not been raving maniacs about it, that many other manufacurer's forum here have suffered from.

Now, if Track would only make a true dry/light oil ball, I'd be happy. No, neither the Dry Heat, nor the Hex-plosion qualify as such. Still love the CrunchTime!
