Title: Survey: Need your input....
Post by: tenpinspro on February 12, 2006, 05:07:07 AM
Hello there Revolutionists,

I need your guys help with this.  Carl and I would like to know how helpful or influential we've been in regards to your Track purchases.  We're out here helping because we enjoy helping you but we never really know our true value here.  We'd appreciate your input, thanks for taking the time.

I also realize there are many who don't have an account set up to reply but it would be very helpful to hear from you guys as well, thanks again.

You guys have been a GREAT help! I based a lot of decisions about what to purchase based on your suggestions! I gives me great satisfaction knowing that my ball driller and you guys are on the same page in a lot of aspects narrowing the emphasis of my improvement on me becoming better physically and mentally, not my equipment.

You have been extrememly helpful in keeping up on Track equipment. I live at least an hour from a large pro shop and bowl at a small center. Hearing the discussions of the equipment on this forum is invaluable to me. I just got a Arsenal Angular drilled up last week and went 226-221-189 with it Thursday nite. I would have never known that is ball would be a good match for my game without this forum. Keep up the good work.

You guys offer an invaluable service on this board.  You help folks with everything from choosing a ball, to helping with layouts according to bowler's games/specs, to really promoting Track's equipment with the videos and other information about their products.  I just wish there were more folks like you guys to fill that need on some of the other boards.  You guys are a huge asset to Track, whether they realize it or not...guarantee you are responsible for a LOT of their sales via the information you provide through this forum.

Both you & Carl have been great and extremely helpful both with deciding on what way to go with Track, layouts and other problems dealing with bowling.

You both are a "HUGE" ( in doing things, not in height Rick) asset to Track whether they want to admit that or not. If either were to ever leave Track I don't think they realize what they would be missing.

Glad to see you back Rick !!

I bought my crash with Excaliburs advice. I love this ball. I haven't pulled it out in a while however, my fired up handles a little more oil. I am sure it will get pulled out during the summer.

I'm still waiting for a ball from track that will meet my needs. The artillery looks intresting.

I read all the posts and yours are the most helpful. I don't post very much but I do base my decision on which Track balls will work for me and whether I will buy them or not. I just got an Arsenal Reactive and a Rule Delta 1 and both balls are a good fit for me. I think the AR is one of Track's best ever. Thanks for all the help!!!

Well I for one would never have got as good as I am with out carl. That is for sure. Now until I meet carl I was a columbia guy. A big die hard one. I used a ICON, MESSENGER TI, AND A SCOUT/R. I ran into my icon dieing and not hooking anymore and I needed a oil ball and I was gona get the icon 300 but carl told me about the animal and when it came out and I seen the core my mouth droped. Now I roll mostly track and carl has got my span to fit so well that I no loger have any hand problems. Just by watching you roll the ball rick makes me want some of the balls you rolled because if you who has mid to low revs can do with it what you do just think what I can do a high rev midhigh speed player. Thanks carl and soon maybe rick. Have fun.

Your help has been a #1, the best of the best in my opinion. I've been chatting with Rick and Carl for years and they've both been very helpful with layouts based upon the information I feed them concerning my game and what I look for out of Track equipment, and I've yet to be disappointed to date. From my first Track purchase (Animal) on through to my latest buys (Havoc, RoboRule) the help you have given has created the best looks I need on the conditions I see anywhere I go.

A+++ to both of you !!!
BTW, Rick ... I got a used Delta on eBay a few weeks ago after seeing yur video on it and that convinced me(although I was a bit leery of it since it looked so strong and continuous through the backends and the deck, but WOW !!!
Carl recommended a layout for it(pin below ring and MB#3); after rolling a 236 with it after plugging and redrilling, I hit it with a 1000 abralon pad and put a wgt hole outside my VAL and below the midline, and BAM !!! My first 300 !!! (OK ... just practice, but still ... :cool
Anyway ... you guys are both top notch !!!
PS - I just won another single drill Delta on eBay last week and an Xception too to try out. !!!
Thanx again, guys !!!

Both of you guys have been a tremendous help when looking into new equipment.  Your mini-reviews and full reviews have given me insight into the ball characteristics and behavior that I can't get anywhere else.  It also helps that I  have virtually the same hand measurements as Rick does, so I can try out his equipment before I buy! LOL  Keep up the great work!

I would both helpful and influential. Rick, you gave me some excellent advice on how to drill up a Delta 1. I just purchased a used Delta from dave300 and used your suggested setup. I love it! Those who placed videos of the Delta let me see how the ball moves and hits. Needless to say that my reaction with the ball was as consistent and successful. there are very knowledgeable posters on this board. You all do a great job!

Carl and Rick  have both been extremely helpful to me this past year and I appreciate it more than they will ever know. Just wish Rick was still able to help like he once did before he took on a new job as he has really taught me a lot this past year. Especially in terms of lay-outs, Pin & MB positions that will work for my style and the ones to stay away from for my style and etc. And of coarse Carl has done likewise and still does, even as recent as today.

No one speaks for me!....well, okay, maybe Carl can.  He's right, I'd also like to personally thank all of you for your kind words and your time in replying.  This is not about anything for our personal egos but to see if we have had some influence in your Track purchases and how we've helped as staffers in trying to get you your desired reaction.

Track equipment or not, we've also tried to help many out here reach their goals and better themselves in this great sport.  Carl and I are trying to see if it would be worthwhile to move our support to another site where we can control the environment and not have to deal with any unwanted posts.  What are your guys thoughts on that?  Appreciate the feedback again....thanks and remember it's Valentines Day, don't forget your presents!

Rick,
You and all the other great staffers and posters on this forum were a major factor in my decision to start primarily using Track.
I know I can always come in here and post or PM a question to a staffer or other knowledgable person in here and get a honest and unbiased opinion.
Of all the forums on here I feel that the Track forum is the most helpful and kind to each other. I can't recall anyone ever flaming someone for their opinion or other post they disagreed with. It seems to me that there is a strong family feel in here.
I feel that a big reason for this is the leaders in here lead by example and are always friendly and eager to help, that make all of you a great asset to BR.com and Track.
My last 3 purchases were strongly ifluenced by many of you.
Rule, Delta 1 and Elite Remix are the last 3 I bought and my next is going to be a Desert Heat, crossing fingers and hoping it will be very soon.
Rick you got one layin around by chance since you also use 14# equipment
The level of product quality and the diversity of the current lineup is a major factor too of course. If we could finally get a cool spare ball the line would be complete.

Rick, you are the one that got me here. If you and Carl move, then I would have to leave Track. Blackmail????? No, not really, but the other sites are harder for people like myself to navigate. Despite all of the problems on this site  caused mostly by the inmature kids and and even some of the smart alec answers by some of the more mature-knowledgeable ones, I bite my tounge and tend to stay on this site because of it's simplicity to use.

I am relatively new to this site, and had been using Track even before coming here, but this site and your groups dialogue and info has been very educational.  Not alot of people throw Track around here, so I do not get much in the way of feedback from others throwing what I am throwing.  I think the most helpful part of this forum is the knowledge of the people giving the advice and information.  Its right on the button, and I can put that to my game and make solid decisions based on it.  There are a few that exaggerate and make things up, but there are alot more on the other ball sites.  Thank everyone for sharing and making everything even Track even better.

Oh, one more item, if I may -

Carl & Rick,

You can chalk up at leat 5+ more Track NEW ball sales, just from your posts (with a tiny bit of help from Anthony C). I've bought an Xception, a Rule, Delta1, 2 CrunchTimes, a Solution PP Ex (there must be another or two; just can't think of them now). Tell Del that!

Hey, you Track pseudo-fanatics,

If you can't ascribe the number of Track balls you bought just from Carl's and Rick's advice and posts, then you ain't properly thanked them YET! Give them something CONCRETE to take back, for accounting purposes!!

I think the help provided in this forum is unsurpassed by the information in any other manufacturers forums. Questions are usually answered promptly and the expertise provided is evident.

I may not post here often but always read the topics. Both Carl and Rick has answered my questions both in the forum and private messages. Rick would probably answer more questions but Carl told me he sometimes forgets his booster chair and can't reach the keyboard.

I have owned several Track balls. Recently I have bought an Animal, Animal Untamed and a Crunch Time from information received here.

Keep up the good work and I am sure many others will be persuaded to use Track equipment.

Rick,
My first Track ball - Mojo - was at the recommendation of a kid at the local pro shop.  He watched me bowl with a Brunswick Command Zone Arc.  As a result of this, I started reading the Track Forum here and quickly found it extremely interesting and informative.  In fact, the Track Forum is the best one here and the staffers have helped making acquiring a ball and drilling for a specific reaction less risky.  The last thing anyone wants to do is buy a new expensive bowling ball and then drill it and find out either the ball doesn't do what was expected or the drill pattern was wrong for the ball.

Frankly, I hope Track takes care of you guys, because my ball and equipment purchases are a direct result of you staffers on this forum.  I am sorry to see so many recent defections, but hope that Del's return will put an end to this trend.

Current Track Arsenal:

Mojo - Med-Heavy
Rule - Med to Med-Heavy
Threat - Med
Crunch Time - Med to Med-Light
Four Ball Track Bag
Track Cleaners and Polishes
Track Towel
