Ok, so having been a Saw guy for a long time, I am kinda used to a rolly reaction, and like a hard arc better than a skid/snap reaction. Length usually isn't a problem for me, because I project the ball very well naturally.
For example, I can throw my Scorchin Inferno, Strike Zone, and Solid Uranium on a medium-heavy house shot with great results. I generally play a little deeper with these and stay in the oil, but my speed is consistently in the 17 mph range.
Not sure on rev rate, but is decent. I could probably be described as a low end cranker or a high end tweener. I am going to guess a rev rate of around 400, based on what I have seen from peoples videos and measurements, and comparing it to my own style. I am a high tracker, in fact often my track inverts to where the track is further from the thumb than the middle finger. I have seen this on several balls, including the three mentioned above. I wish I could measure my PAP accurately to give you a better idea, but alas I am untrained in that artform.
All this being said, I am hoping to fit the Machine in between my Tsunami and my Strike Zone. Please tell me if my thinking is wrong on this. My 15 lb Machine is on its way, with 2.5-3.0 TW and a 2-3 pin.
I was thinking a pin below the bridge or ring finger, with the MB kicked out about an inch right of the thumbhole. What kind of reaction would I get with this layout on a 39 foot crown with 60 units in the middle out to six on the gutters? Again, hoping for strong arc as opposed to skid/snap. My Cobalt does the skid/snap thing all too well.
