Hey there Legion and non-Legion members (but will be right?
),
It's that time again..summer...(great feeling being out of school, isn't it?
)
Carl and I usally offer some tips for summer practice so here we go. For some of you Tag Team loyalists, you may have seen this and I apologize but there are many new members here that could still make use of this info.
To help tie in visually with what you do physically when releasing a ball, place a piece of tape (contrasting in color to the ball) vertically above your fingers on centerline and one piece vertically below your thumb on centerline (usually white tape is fine).
What this will show you is two things very easily...your "tilt" and "axis rotation". You can also practice on changing your release but now you'll get a visual of what it looks like rolling down the lane compared to what you "felt" you did at the foul line. Very important people...many times what we "think" we do and what we "actually" do are two different things. This tape motion "will" show us how we are throwing the ball "exactly"!
Hope this suggestion helps improve your game and always feel free to contact Tag Team Coaching for any further assistance, thank you.
