Tantrum Mini Review
« on: June 27, 2008, 11:32:08 AM »
Well I drilled it 5" pin Up over Middle finger and the MB at 60 Degrees. OOB surface and no hole. bottom line...DAMN this ball is way stronger than I thought it was going to be. Very clean in the front on our synthetic league shot (No Great wall in the middle) Very strong midlane read with very good motion throughout the backend. I couldnt make it roll out! I wish I could have because I needed a ball to stop to score. I finished the night laying it down around 34 crossing inside of 25 but out to about 8 down the lane and it was still making it back strong. Almost too strong for the condition we were on but its a new toy and I wanted to throw it. Anyway i cant wait to throw it on a little more volume or more of a THS where i dont have to fight the backend i can just let her rip!
Another great mid price ball that could be a highend ball. I think a Temper/Tantrum would make a hell of a 2 ball combo!

Being a member of tracks staff, could you give me a quick straight up comparison between this ball (TANTRUM) and the Kinetic?

A friend of mine has the kinetic.  It impressed me, but seems like it might be too much and I was hoping this might be an actual step down from the Kinetic

Track staffer that I bumped into this evening said for him the Tantrum sits pretty well between the Kinetic and the Kinetic Energy FWIW...

The Tantrum is earlier in the mids than my Kinetic's and not quite as jerky. My KE's are all drilled to be smoother pin down except one and are probably not a good comparison but the one KE I do have pin up over the fingers on the center line is close and its still longer and not as strong on the back on this shot I used it on compared to the Tantrum. Keep in  mind my Pin Up KE is not OOB I took it to 2000 then Factory finish then extender polish. Overall I think you cant go wrong with the Tantrum in most peoples hands. Very nice read but not too early and pretty controllable for average rev rates on THS and great price.
