Looking for a strong oil ball
« on: August 14, 2005, 01:51:03 PM »
I've recently gotten some new gear, a Brunswick BVP Nemesis for medium oil which I'm quite happy with, and a BVP Goliath for oil that I don't like much at all. Drilled it twice with different layouts, can't get much out of it. Since I already have an old maroon Stomp, I figured I'd give Track a go. I'd probably want to avoid getting another particle ball, as they seem to be a bit of a pain

Stroker, relatively high speed (18-20mph), low-med revs, high track. Looking for something for medium-heavy/heavy oil, preferably drilled quite strong. From my poking around on the Track site, an Arsenal Reactive (drilling 2 or 3) looks roughly like what I'm after, or possibly a Rule. Anyone have any thoughts? I would really like to have some sort of shot on oil other than "throw it straight at the pocket" :*|

The Rule doesn't seem to be available any more, and no-one has any Arsenal Reactives in stock. The good news is, it looks like I'm able to get a Delta 1 by the end of next week, and for 25% less than the price I originally saw online. Now to make some sort of layout decision

My Nemesis (medium) and Goliath (drowning) are both drilled roughly like 2E on the Brunswick layout chart, which is a medium hooking early rolling layout for me. I would like something a bit different on the Delta, but my relatively high ball speed might make longer layouts skid far too long before moving. I'm currently leaning towards Drilling 3. Anyone have any thoughts?
