Kinetic - First Impressions

WOW!!! I really think this ball is going to be a fantastic release for Track. I've never had a ball that gets down the lane so easily and then just flips and crushes the pins.

I wound up putting the pin over bridge, mb 2" right of thumb. This ball is a great first release under the Ebonite umbrella. If this is a sign of things to come, Track is on its way to making some of the best balls in the business again.

Can't wait to get a Temper.

In the shop Carl drilled a Kinetic that matched a regional players Black Widow Pearl. When he hit the lanes he rolled the BWP on his normal line and it crushed the pocket. He then rolled his newly drilled Kinetic and it went down the same length and snap harder of the breakpoint. He was force to move left 5 boards due to the fact that it snap that much harder. So with OOB finish on both and the same layout the Kinetic is 5 boards stronger off the breakpoint then the BWP.

I'd say that's about right Scoot. I had a BWP and it wasn't nearly as angular as the Kinetic. The Kinetic gets similar length but is more angular at its breakpoint. The only ball that I've thrown that I can compare with the Kinetic in terms of angularity and length is the Immortal Pearl. But, the Kinetic seems to hit the pins a bit harder.

I am interested in doing a Kinetic up. I love the Freak Out I have and this is the layout I have on it http://http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5915747 See the next Pic for MB location.

The Freak Out gives me easy length and a very angular break to the pins. I want to drill a Kinetic up and have the same reaction in length and backened. The Freak Out had a 4" pin and 3-1/4 top before drilling. For starters, should I order a Kinetic w/a 4" pin with that same top? Then, I would need layout help. Duplicating the pin and mass bias of the Freak Out onto the Kinetic will give me what? I want to have a suitable replacement in case something happens to the Freak Out. I did get an Xception 5.0 NIB with the same specs, but something is telling me to do a Kinetic instead. I will if I can get one to react with the same length and backend.

After throwing the Kinetic for a few games, all I can say about that ball is that it just does not quit. Period. Now I just need to figure out how to get some control of it.

I second that. There is no such thing as control when using the Kinetic. As soon as it sees dry, it is going left and going left HARD!!!

Agreed. The house that I have been bowling in recently shortened up their pattern a bit which makes this ball somewhat difficult to use, but after seeing a guy throwing 5 revs on the ball go back to back 800+, I think that they are going to end up bringing back some length.
