Temper = Scores

So first off, I need to thank Mr. Rick Leong for being an amazing ball driller.. A few months back, he made some pretty drastic changes to my fit that have allowed me to experience something of a resurgance of my game. With that being said, about a week and a half ago, I received a Temper from him that we had been discussing for some time. Originally, we were going to go with a RICO drilling with the ball because of some issues that I have with my home house being a very wet/dry shot. Before the ball was drilled, I decided to make some additional changes to my game that added a little ball speed and came to the conclusion that RICO might not be the right way to go.

So with this ball, we went with the pin under the bridge and the MB about 1/2" off of the vertical grip line. What I ended up with was probably the best benchmark ball that I have had in nearly 10 years. In 10 sanctioned games since I have received the ball, I have gotten a pair of 300 games and darn near gotten an 800 series (793). The ball reads the mids very well and does amazing things on the last 10' of the lane. In the center that I am bowling in, I think that I am the only person that throws any Track equipment, but I have the feeling that will change just from the people that have seen how strongly this ball rolls.

As for my stats, I don't know my rev rate or ball speed, but Rick has described me as rev dominant. My track is slightly lower than normal, but has actually crept back up the ball a little after the changes Rick made to my fit (going from about 2" from the thumb and fingers up to slightly over an inch). One thing that I can say is that I have a new first ball out of the bag! Thank you Track and Rick for this amazing piece!

Is that so he does not get misplaced or lost in a crowd?

Great bowling! keep up the good shooting.

Congrats with the great bowling, Aristotle. I recently picked up a Temper and it sure has been a great piece for me. Reminds me of the Slash, but way more versatile!!

BTW, I am the only one throwing Track too at the places I bowl at as well.

Keep up the awesome bowling...get that BIG 8!!

I'm sure that I will soon. It wouldn't be like it was the first one that I have shot, but it will be the first one in a very long time. Funny think though.. Before getting this ball, it had been about 5 years since I had my last 300, then I go back to back leagues with one in each.

Never had the opportunity to throw the Slash, so I really cannot comment on the reaction there, but I can say that it is indeed a very versitile piece. The reaction shape really does remind me quite a bit of my Freak (obviously without the ability to hook on everything).

You forget to tell everyone that you had to make a 4-4.5 hr journey to get to finally see me and let me help you (thanks for the trust).  You always had the skill, you just needed someone with the "eye" who could help find your weak and strongest points in "truly" fine tuning your game.  This is what Tag Team Coaching does best!

Very happy for you bro....

Thanks, Rick. Nice to see that you're still around. The trip up there was a very small price to pay for what was provided. I need to make that trip again in the next few months or so. See if you have any comment or suggestions on semi-recent changes that I made on my own (I am pretty sure that we had talked about them at one point). If only I had the time to practice, I really think that I could be the 220-230 bowler that you feel that I could get to. At one point in my life, I was there, but I was bowling almost every day out of the week. Gotta figure out how to get there with fewer games per week somehow.
