I need some help here Track roomies!
« on: September 30, 2006, 04:17:44 AM »
Hey everyone, i've been having a few problems with my wrist and couldn't bowl consistent with a 15lb ball, so i moved down the 14lbs, and it is now amazing! Now.. i just bought a Mean Machine and of course it's 15lbs! What should i do with this ball?? Should i sell it and get a 14lb? Is there a difference between the 14 and 15lbs? I love 14lb and i think i'll stay with it for a while!

Should i sell the Mean and get the 14lb Mean? I really planned on using this baby too.. Any help or comments are appreciated

Hey Brian,

If you decide to sell the 15 lb Meanie, I'm really sure you won't get as much as you paid for it...I would keep it in the closet or somewhere near ya for awhile, that way if things start going wrong with your 14 lb equipment, the trusty Meanie in 15 will be there to bail ya out! Just my thoughts, we support whatever you decide buddy! God Bless You and have a great week!

yea but i don't know if i'll ever go back to 15lb any time soon... so i got a 14lb Desert Heat (NIB), and a 15lb Mean Machine (NIB).. should i just hold it until i can throw 15lb again? I need a 14lb heavy oil ball, and don't have a lot of money :-/.. what should i do?

well hopefully you can trade it or something

not to get off the subject, but how did you decide to switch to 14# ?  One time I thought I would do better with 14# because I'm not very big or strong, and I asked the coach about it but he said "No".

I actually switched to 14lb because of some good feedback 14lb balls got here on BR. People say that they were happy switching from 15lb to 14lb, and now i am one of them! I couldn't be happier with myself and my bowling right now. Today i was able to bowl 3 games consistently without my wrist holding me back, and i also didn't have to wear a wrist support. I had my old Hammer Switch Blade just sitting around so i decided to redrill her to my hand.. and i am now very happy with my decision! Hope this helps!

You have to keep in mind your 13/14 years old and your wrist is not used to all the motions you do. You must be getting way under the ball and using alot of motions in your wrist to make the ball hook. In a few years when your 15/16 like I am, you will most likely be throwing 15 again.

Hey FastTracker33,

I have a better idea for your 15lb MM. Since most ppl bowl 15 or 16 lbs. Y don't you go to your local pro shop drller/owner if he have a 14lb MM you can trade with. If he doesn't, ask if he can order a 14 lb for you and he keep the 15 lb for some1 that need it? or give you a call if he need a 15lb MM. Or pay 20 buck for the trade off.

hope that help.
