Arsenal Artillery Video/Mini-Review
« on: March 13, 2006, 03:21:36 PM »
HEY FASTRACKERS!!!

The Arsenal Artillery finally arrived today for me in the pro shop! After debating on layouts, we decided to go with a 4" Pin Below the Ring Finger, CG kicked out about 2" with a Weight Hole 1" below PAP.

Mini-Review:
This is the best Arsenal of the series! The Artillery has a nice skid/snap reaction and finishes with a smooth arc! Compared to the Angular, I would say the Angular goes about 2 feet longer and turns the corner sharper than the Artillery; however, the Artillery is much more smoother, cleaner and not as erratic as the Angular on the backend! I love how versatile it is on THS conditions! The one thing that sort of concerns me is that the backend is even greater than the Machine. My teammate on Wednesday nights, who is on Track's Amateur Staff and I both agreed on this after I drilled mine up and called to talk to him about it. The link is below...I hope this helps someone who is considering a great mid-price plus piece from Track. First impressions are great, I will post a full review once I have put some more games on it! TRACK, YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THAT!!!

Video:
I also put together this video just for you guys to view...I played a few different lines too so I hope you can see how it reacts different...I played deep with my feet on 30 playing about 15-8 and also played a more direct angle by standing on 20 and playing 10-6.

NOTE: Your requests for the comparison videos will be up in the next day or two. Mike Bradford (The Original Chewmiester) is going to be helping me tomorrow when I go to practice!

Nice video i watched this and the machine video back to back to compare you backend reactions. Now i have a tip too help you out a little take your machine too 1000 abralon and hit it hard with brunswick rough buff with water on high speed. What will this do??? it will make your machine out backend your artillery, try it and see for yourself.

I know this will work because we both have almost exact layouts on both balls, bowl on synthetics and release the ball very close. You have better legs than me i have a shot left knee but i still round a ball decently.

Your machine will start to carry better and will be more useable for different shots, for me in box it was burning quickly and backend was ok not great. Now it works like a charm and hits like an artillery haha

btw my pap is 5 1/2 over 1 up we are close

Michael,

I enjoyed it. Intrestingly, EX said that from the response to my post that the artillary is longer than the machine, and reads the mids less than the machine. It looked to me comparing this vid to the machine vid that this ball reads the mids better. It could be the drilling(ie pin below finger). It looks to me as if it has the same reaction as the machine, but for less volume of oil. I don't think I need this ball, I think it would overlap with my fired up too much.

This is why I find it confusing with Track's equipment. Honestly, I thought this ball would get down the lane farther than the Machine, but unless these conditions are different? A side by side might be in order? Please?

Good vid.

Michael,

Yet again a great video. That ball has a real nice reaction to it. Nice and strong on the backend. The color of the ball is actually alot nicer than I thought it would be too. Yet again, another great Track ball. Keep the great work going and god bless!
