'Touchy' drilling, plugging and trying again
« on: April 13, 2004, 06:24:11 PM »
Ok, i love how my Blue Triton rolls but the pin at 5" from PAP makes it a little too 'skaty' and 'jumpy' for my liking. Would a 3"-3 1/2" pin from PAP distance give me a strong/smooth ball that would replace my aging Elite pearl(2 1/2 pin to PAP) and Heat(4" pin from PAP). The Blue is still near new as far as wear and tear goes and the other have 2 been in the bag for 5-6 yrs on and off so retirement from anything but drier wood house events(where they will boot the particle stuff for a day) is getting near.

OK, i'll try a different approach to this question, to go with this different drill on the Blue i'll list my tourney arsenal in a few months time(thanks to Brenton Davy for the upcoming additions!)

EMB Pearl-leverage pin, strong mass bias-hole on PAP
Rock Pearl-5"X 3 1/2", pin over ring finger-Hole on PAP
Blue Triton-pin 3' from pap(pin right in ball, probably drill with deep fingers to fix up the statics)hole maybe an inch past PAP

now the additions
Heat 2 Pearl
Heat 2 Solid(both for tourney use only, so they should have a fair bit of life in front of them)

Just need layout suggestions for the Heat2's(the solid has a 4 1/2" out pin too, not sure about the pearl, can you fill me in here Brenton?)
