Power Machine or Black Widow?
« on: December 15, 2006, 04:13:13 PM »
I was asked what I wanted for Christmas and I, at first, said a Power Machine. Then, today, my dad asked, "What about the Black Widow?", I didn't really know what to say. I have an Infinite One that I try to use on heavy oil, but it losses alot of hook after about 20 games. I also have an Action that I try to use, but I can't throw this ball fast or it won't move. I have a Radical and an Absolute, both which are nice dry lane balls. So, I'm not really sure on what to get because I'm going to the Main Event in Vegas and I'm leaving the 27th, so I need to decide on what to get. But, I will probably be using whatever I choose on a heavier shot, so if I got the Power Machine, I would probably have to take it down to about 1200 or so, right? But, just would like some ideas on what to get. Thanks for the help in advance.

Of the 2 the Power Machine is far better on oil than the BW. As you mentioned though, a surface adjustment will be needed!

I have a BW now and I like it polished with magic shine.  I have a PM on the way and I'm thinking about where to place in the bag.  Which should be the heavier oil ball without adjusting the cover on the PM?

The power machine would probably be a lot more controllable overall as well.  My vote goes with the power machine.

Hey Pate,

Based on your description of your game, I'd go with the Power because it is stronger in comparison to the BW.  The BW's a nice piece as well but the Power should offer you more hook overall.
