Freak-A-Zoid Coverstock Prep
« on: September 03, 2006, 10:17:56 AM »
I need some help from the Track folks.  I want to restore my FAZ to box finish and need the base sanding grit.  And what types/kinds/brands of polishes will work to get to the compound finish.  Thanks in advance...Nuts

To get the OOB finish on the Freakazoid you need to sand it lightly at 900-1000 as Mutilated mentioned then hit the surface with Track's Clean n Sheen...this is their compound finish.

If the ball companies would take a little time to have a surface prep section for their equipment then these questions wouldn't be asked on BR.  I did a search on BR looking for this ball info before posting this topic.  I haven't checked all company sites but I know that Dyno-Thane has their base sanding grit listed for newer balls which is very helpful. All ball companies should follow them.

Carl,

That would be awesome if you could compile the list for OOB finishes, and the recommended polish/cleaner for each coverstock.

Yes Carl, that would be very helpful.  I'm just doing my job and delegating guys....
