I am possibly getting a Triton Heat used in the very near future, but can't find too much information on this ball. I know it's got the TriCore technology and I know it was one of the most successful balls on the PBA tour in 97-98, but I wasn't big into bowling then (or at least not as much as I am now, especially the equipment aspect) so I haven't really ever gotten to see this ball thrown. I know it's the same core as the Threat, but the Threat is a particle pearl and I believe the Heat is a reactive. I could be wrong though and if I am, please tell me. Any information about this ball would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

Mine revved up early and absolutely boogied on the back end. I think the Threat is a bit weak compared to the original heat. I suspect the Triple Threat to be closer.

Does it have the typical reactive move? And is it more of a (sorta) skid/flip reactive or is it a smoother reactive? Thanks for the info so far.

Depends on your release and drilling. On certain shots, I could square up in the oil and on other shots go coast to coast. Mine had a 5" pin with a drilling somewhere around 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.
I recently acquired a Coral Triton and it is smooth front to back.

i got a used one this year and it was a beat on medium heavy short oil. made a great move to the pocket and was just very consistent for me. but, had to go with the freak on some longer patterns because it would keep revving and revving with no movement. great ball be glad u got it
