The Inertia is already at 1000 OOB, only it has a polish on it also. So if you take it to 1000 you are only removing the polish. This will help the ball start up sooner but it wont add to much overall strength. I would say take it to 600 with a green scotch brite pad. I had mine at that and it was awsome. Or if you would like the smoothest reaction you would ever find, go in the other direction. I currently have my Inertia at 4000 abralon but with the use of a spinner on high speed. The cover looks polished but it isnt. The reaction I get is very smooth and very controlable. Great finish for the Inertia.
