I got a chance to see and throw these at the demo day at Texas Station.
The Rising - https://www.buddiesproshop.com/files/5686.jpg
Temper - https://www.buddiesproshop.com/files/5688.jpg
Kinetic - https://www.buddiesproshop.com/files/5687.jpg
The Rising is more the color of the Original Critical Mass. This ball has an Asymmetrical core in it, but no core pictures are being released. All the Track balls are only setup for Right Handed bowlers due to the limited number of balls that were produced so far. I threw the Right Handed ball (I am Left Handed). The ball has a new layout in it, at least for a demo day ball. The pin was in the center of the palm, and the Mass Bias was in the Finger Quadrant area. I threw some shots with the ball and this ball was long and very aggressive at the break point for me. I am sure with a leftie layout this ball will be a monster.
Both the Temper and Kinetic had Mass Bias markings on the balls. Both balls were polished. Both balls had normal Mass Bias layouts in them. I threw a couple of shots with each ball, but with the balls being laid out for the opposite hand, I couldn't tell the first clue as to what these balls will do. Sorry.

Lol. I remember when that was my only criteria in buying a ball back in the day.
Based on looks, The rising looks the worst among the three, not that any of them "looks" good anyway. But then again, I've not seen these face to face, so I shouldn't be so judgemental yet. For what type of ball the rising is supposed to be, I'd really like to see some video on it before I buy it.

They look too "Ebonitish" for me. Bill, these are actual pix, right?

The Rising has the highest Intermediate differential of any ball ever made (0.031) and the largest volume single density core in production (over 7 pounds). It's called the MegaTron core with HP GEN 1 veneer! You get the best of both worlds. Drilled one way, you get skid/flip like no other ball. Drilled conventionally, you get big, controlled, aggressive hook! The Kinetic features the Low Mass Bias Shuttle core with Track's new UMP GEN 1 cover, the motion is simply maximum skid/flip. The color is a medium blue and burgundy. The Temper looks a lot like the Black Widow Pearl and features the Track's Legion Core shape and the new MP GEN 1 veneer. It's clean through the front wih angularity on the backend, this new ball is a balance of control and power with a 2000-grit Abralon sanded and polished surface with Powerhouse Factory Finish. The Kinetic has a release date of August 13 and The Rising and Temper both have a tentative date of September 10. I hope this helps! Thanks, Bruce
-
Mo's LevRG has an intermediate diff of 0.33 making the Rising the 2nd highest of all time. The drilling options on the Rising make for some interesting variations on a one-ball arsenal. I have talked to people who threw it yesterday and stated just one thing "Monster". I can't wait to throw one myself.

Wow!! No balls made yet for the lefty's.. Very interesting!!
-
I think the Temper and Kinetic look like Track balls with a little ebonite flare(sr300/rxs300). But i really dont like the looks of the Rising, i think they could have done better. When someone makes it look like a hook monster on the TOC pattern ill buy one...

They have tons of Righties throwing the balls at the Demo day, and they have only made a couple of balls so far, so they didn't have enough to do leftie layouts.

Definitely not doubting that. Just that this thread had two seperate pics as I'm sure you saw. In any event, I'd want the red one-and that's only because I don't have any red balls, and have way too many blue ones. That didn't come out right. lol

Here's a quote that was left on the Columbia 300 page:
In the new catalogue this is what they say about the brand characteristics and personalities:
Columbia 300
Strong midlane and continuous ball motion across the entire product line. A cool legend that's back.
Ebonite
Versatile ball motion across the entire product line. A sophisticated brand that knows it's way around the lanes.
Hammer
Aggressive ball motion across the entire product line. You don't become a Hammer bowler. You either are one, or you're not.
Track
Skid/Flip ball motion across the entire product line. The perfect science for victory.
The fact that track is going to be nothing but skid/flip ball reactions explains why Wes is back with columbia. They can't really have him be out on tour with nothing but equipment that goes sideways.
-
The Temper is'nt going to be a skid/flip ball! The literature that Ebonite sent me on all the new equipment list the Kinetic as skid/flip, the Temper as control/power it's more of a strong arc. The Rising can be drilled for skid/flip or arc with the new weight block that uses a very strong intermediate differential. You get the best of both world with The Rising! Thanks, Bruce
-
i hope they really dont try to make all the track balls with a skid/flip reaction, because i would definately have to look elsewhere for my balls, thats just not my comfort zone

I hear the Rising is a very good ball by the people that threw it at the demo days but you better have a top notch driller or it will never be layed out correctly.
They are going to have drilling seminars for almost any driller to completely understand the ball dynamic's. This ball makes laying out a No mercy look easy as pie
-
Well i dont know about anyone else but if Track's stuff becomes predominantly skid/flip i am going to love all this new stuff. I currently have four Track balls and one i need to re-drill and that is all i throw! I tried another weight as well as other brands and honestly nothing hit like my 16lb Track stuff. But is it true that the Kinetic is only going to be in 14 and 15??? I read that on another post and that ball sounds like it will fall in line right with the Power Machine i am ordering. Anyone else hear/ know about this?

The Track stuff is not going to be skid/flip as much as it is going to have strong backend. I know this sounds conflicting, but if any of the folks that threw the Rising at the product showcase could talk to you about this ball you would hear: It rolls....but it still turns the corner hard. Knowing what I know about the Rising and the layout scheme, it can be skid/flip or it can roll very early. The Kenetic skid and flips better than anything I have seen, including the Power Machine. The Temper is not skid/flip, but it retains energy down lane very well.
The Layout system on the Rising is not difficult. 360* drill system makes it easy.....and it gives the ball driller many options to give the bowler the reation he/she wants.

Carl,
So, what do you say about the picture of the Red Kinetic that's been floating around? And to say the Kinetic is a better skid/flip ball than the PM? Wow, that's an extremely bold statement, especially considering what I've seen my PM do-especially after the re-drill. I was interested in only the Rising, but I just may have to add the Kinetic to this. So, the Rising looks just like the CM? I was hoping for a brand new look-but oh well.
Thanks for the info again, Carl. As always.

I have seen quite a few Kenetics and none of them were that red. I do however see a hint of red. It may just show up as much as it did on that picture simply due to the light.
All of you folks know how much I liked the Power Machine. It was my favorite ball of the last year or so. The Kenetic goes down the lane looking like a plastic ball and then turns like nothing I have seen before. It is a 5 and 2 move left with my feet compared to my TNV drilled identically.
The Rising looks identical to the CM. I do not think this is a bad thing due to tradition. The Rising is a very unique ball. You could drill up 3 of these and cover almost every condtion you will face, that is how versatile it is.
I honestly believe that all 3 of the new balls are must haves.

My Tag Team partner is dead on and I want to add to this, the Kinetic transitions from oil to dry much better than our Power. It's strong but smoother and easier to control for me out here on the west coast on synthetics. Ron H and Randy T are fantastic guys, "these guys are good". I really should say they're great but Ron Jr may haunt me with this...lol
I can't really expunge on much more information but I'm in a little deeper in the business than most of you might think. Ebonite is an incredible company..

And apparently The Rising will not be made with neither Top Weight over 3 oz or Pin Distances over 3".. To match their new layout system..

I had the chance to demo the Kinetic and, unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed. The ball simply went too long for me, and the backend wasn't as strong as I had hoped it would be. It may just be me though. Hopefully, The Rising will be much better.
