Like chitown said, controlling the breakpoint is essential...that being said, generally symmetric balls will work rather well. This is not to say that asymmetricals don't have their place, but as a general rule of thumb, I like to use the symmetricals to control breakpoints. Balls in the Arsenal series (along with the Freak-A-Zoid) and the Heat series would be good, and if you can find a Threat, grab that too, very nice and even particle pearl.
On asymmetricals though, swinging the MB out would be beneficial to help control the breakpoint. I.E. An Xception with the pin above ring and MB swung out a bit would help get the ball through the heads, more or less ignore the midlane, and make a nice smooth arc on the backend.
Heavy/medium-heavy: Rule GP2 (particle, asymmetric) or Arsenal Aggressive (particle, symmetric)
Medium-heavy/medium: Xception 5.0 (particle pearl, asymmetric) or Blue Heat (particle, symmetric)
Medium: Rule (reactive, asymmetric) or Arsenal Angular (particle pearl, symmetric)
Medium-light: Xception (reactive pearl, asymmetric) or Heat (reactive pearl, symmetric)
Light: Desert Heat (reactive pearl, symmetric)
Those are some basic suggestions...feel free to swap in and out as you wish! Other great balls include the Threat (particle pearl, symmetric), Crash (reactive pearl, symmetric), Freak-A-Zoid (reactive, symmetric), Freak (particle, assymetric), etc.
