Your game is ok. The first shot the timing was WAY off, but u had it better in the second shot. The only real problem i see is the lift you have. I would really cut down on that lift, and roll the ball off your hand onto the lane. In the long run it will help you bercome more versitale.

In response to everything you said. I dont see how my timing is off. My foot and release point are at the line at the same time, which is how it is supposed to be. If anything, the only thing I need to work on is getting a better slide rather than stepping into my release.
My lift isnt a problem nor will it ever be because if you are a true advocate/student of the game, its not how many revs you have but how you use them. I utilize many different hand positions to play different lines and the amount of lift I have has NEVER caused me a problem.
If you are referring to the loft I have, the heads were toast, therefore lofting to get through the heads IS part of being versatile. Plus the fact that if you notice the knee brace I am wearing, my knee was in alot of pain that night and I was unable to get a sufficient amount of knee bend to get lower to the line.
Sorry to sound like I am arguing your points, but please before you criticize, ask questions about why people do certain things. I hate it when people criticize without knowing all of the facts.

I was saying that in the first shot, if u look, after you throw the ball, you step out, or step to the side. That just means that the timing on that shot was off. But u had a nice shot the second time so it was probobly just a mistake or something. Also, i didnt know u had toasty heads so forget what i said about the lift/loft

Actually, my stepping off or falling off the shot is due to not having proper balance at the line which is mostly caused by excessive muscle in the armswing. I usually do have a free armswing, but on occasion muscle it a bit. I used to muscle the ball all the time. Its one of those old habits that creeps in every now and then. My coach is working with me to stop doing that and I must say, I usually keep my balance on about 90 percent of my shots now.

Good job bud! Everything looked good bud. Did you just throw one shot? The video went thru great but didn't cycle thru the hole tape. If you thru one shot then it looked great. I'm going to post a video this summer when I get a cam corder.
Thanks. Actually, there should have been 2 shots on there. I am unsure as to why you only saw one. Hmmmm....

Hey Rock,
You are correct in stating that your lift amount causes you to come out of your shot but there are 2 ways to look at it. If your left leg were more centered to your chest (or even right) at the point of release, you "could" lift harder without falling over. Another method taught by Del/Mo is to make sure you extend your trailing foot to the opposite side of our body which also helps create more balance and leverage at the point of release.
Take a look at your right foot in the Arsenal vid, it stays pretty much behind you (or in line with your body, stroker position). Now look at Rev_O or my video and you'll see our trailing leg kicking much further left to help offset the modern day stronger lift effort release.
My analogy (teaching) is if I give you a giant pole to hold up a little cabin that sits on water, where would the pole have to go so the house does not fall into the water? Dead center, correct? Well, our upper body becomes that house at the point of release and our left leg acts like the pole. We'd want to center that leg as much as possible to help create the necessary amount of leverage to allow us to lift accordingly.
Old school did not teach this because the lift effort was not as strong (full roller release) in comparison to what most players are trying to do today.
Hope this helps some bud.....
