Thrash
« on: June 16, 2003, 08:57:26 AM »
I attended a hand fitting and drilling seminar held by Mike Riggins last week. It was great. He checked my hand and wrote down how he would drill a ball for me if he were to do so. I was 5 and 5 1/8 span, zero on both fingers, 1/8 rt and 1/4 reverse in the thumb. He switched them to 4 3/4 and 4 3/16  span, zero lateral in both fingers--1/16 reverse in the middle finger and 1/8 reverse in the ring finger, 1/8 reverse in the thumb and 1/8 left.
I purchased a Thrash and used the fit he gave me. The ball felt awesome in my hand. I did not lose any revs at all. That was a concern I had.
I layed the ball out to not be overly aggressive in the backends, more of an arc.

Great ball. I got down the lane well, it did not jump real hard off of the dry, it sat good in the oil, and if I missed outside it didn't overreact at all, nice calm hook. It hits hard, but there is definately a difference in hit from this ball to any of the balls with the morpheous core. The Thrash hits very comparable to my Dynothane Thing.

First game with this ball and new hand span and pitches.......299. I left a 4 pin, I let up on it a bit speedwise when I released it. I watched it the fist 20 ft and turned around and said "4 pin". I hate when I am right.
The league I bowl is 4 games. I went 299-160-247-179. The 2nd and 4th games combined I missed 5 out of 7 10 pins, and 3 out of 5 4 pins. Needless to say my spare shooting was horrible. Not too bad of a set though, considering I am running the league, the front desk, pin chaser and working the snack counter as well.

Overall this ball is exactly what I wanted. I will post a review when I get about 20-30 games on it.
