well here's another question for the track guys. i'm looking for someone who owns both of these balls and can let me know the difference between these two pieces of equipment, what shots they're good at, angles they play, and versatility. i'm a higher speed, higher rev player and any advice on these two balls would be appreciated.

I didn't have my freak out real long but while i did it was a very strong piece that was very angular and stronger than most of the stuff i had but the threat that i have and the way its drilled pin over bridge and cg in palm it is also polished with 5000 and its a perfect dry lane ball for me.

There is a night and day difference between these 2 balls. FOR ME the Threat reacted much more like a reactive than a particle, and went much further down the lane than the Freak Out. The Freak Out had unbelieveable backend reaction, and definately hit MUCH harder than the Threat.
The FreakOut will be much more useable than the Threat on a wider variety of conditions. Most bowlers will be able to use the FreakOut on everything except the driest of conditions, and most oily conditions.
