Morich Drillings On TRACK Balls

Do Morich drillings work well or at all on TRACK balls or are they designed specifically for Morich balls only?

While I can't give you the answer you are looking for specifically I od remember my driller saying that you couldn't really use a Mo drill on a Storm core and expect to the the same result as you would on a Mo core.

That might be partially due to one company using a MB core that stabilizes on the Z axis and another company that has cores that stabilize on the Y axis.

Mac, do you know what axis a Track Machine is and what axis the Morich balls are? I note that Morich has the same drillings for each style/type hook, etc. on all of their balls, so could that mean that all Morich balls have either a Y or Z asis? One or the other? I'm just trying to come up with something that will work on my Track Machine and not fail me like the Xception 5.0 did. Ditto on the Storm Paradigm.

I have become a bit gun shy on drilling this Machine. Not sure any drilling on it will fit my profile. I maybe should have picked a weaker assymetric core ball or a ball with a Symetric core. I guess the ball may just have to sit for a while until I get brave enough to take a chance......lol

Hey Brick,

Not exactly sure either bud but when Mo and Del were working together in seminars and such, their concept of mass bias and safe pin positionings were along the same page.  

I'm familiar with the concept of y and z spinning balls but I don't know what balls produced by Mo are specific to this.  Your best man to answer this I'd say would be KOTM, Precision or Mitch B, they're much more technical and have more knowledge in this area then I do.  

I pretty much decided on a layout for you, just want to go over a few things at the shop to make sure.  I'll get hold of you tonite....thanks.

If the manufacturer marks the PSA of the bowling ball, then you can drill it using MoRich layouts (although the layouts included with the Track balls work great).

Currently Track, MoRich and Storm mark the PSA of their high-end bowling balls after spinning them on a determinator in the factory.

Most of Ebonite's newer cores are marked on the PSA and Brunswick's Time series balls are marked on the PSA, but neither of these two companies use a determinator in the factory.
