The Ultimate Inferno does not pick up its roll as soon as the Rule and is not as angular in the backends. The Rule is a "SPECIAL" ball in this respect......early roll with a strong angular backend reaction. The Goo coverstock is NEW and it is unique. So coverstock similarities are not an issue.

Having the core of the Rule asymmetrical is a huge advantage. You can get any reaction shape that you want and basically any roll that you want in the same package.


I had an EMB XF and used it sparingly, but the closest current ball reaction to what that ball offered in my opinion is the Crunch Time. For me the EMB XF was very strong in the backends, but not quite skid flip. This is exactly how I see the Crunch Time. Both of them were drilled close to the same, so it is a very good comparison for me to make. Even though they have different coverstocks, different core numbers......the Crunch Time is the closest you will find.

Just want to say thank you all!

Still a bit confuse about Rule's reaction; I've never thought you can get an angular backend with early roll.  I always think that Angular = skid/snap, but I'll wait and see Rick's video.

The things I like about the Infernos line is that they roll early, so I am interested to see what the Rule's reaction's like.

I'm gonna do some more homework on Crunch Time, again thank you all.
