Title: Top Weight
Post by: cd on February 16, 2006, 11:56:50 PM
What top weight should I choose for new equipment?  What factors come into play when deciding this?  Is there a general guideline to follow?  Would between 2 1/2 oz and 3 oz be safe most of the time?

I am ordering some new equipment and I was curious about how one should make this decision?

Thanks

Depends on what you want to do with the ball and how you feel about weight holes, but in general, 2-3" pin and 2-3oz top weight is safe for the vast majority of drillings.  You'll have lots of options for pin and MB placement, probably won't need a 3" wide weight hole no matter what you do.
