whats the top weight do to the ball such as have a high top weight or low top weight.

Yea, unless you're finicky and want to fine tune your reaction with precision, then you should take into account the static weights of the ball.  Otherwise, as long as you hit the dry spot on your normal THS, you shouldnt see much of a difference.  In my opinion, I say you stick to one base configuration (i.e. top weight and pin distance) then let the dynamics of the ball do the work in giving you difference reactions.
