Track 300C ++
« on: December 23, 2010, 09:05:54 PM »
In the search for something to help me combat the dry lanes on my Thursday night league my driller and I went through my best options and I ended up with a pin down 300C.  Ball has given my the ability to better control my reaction at the break point and my pin carry has been consistently better since making starting to throw this ball.  Last night I was able to finally shoot my high for the year a 244, 257, 225 for a 726.  After coming back from an infected disc in my lower back this is the first time I have been able to consistently get to the pocket and carry at this house.  Will be giving Track strong consideration in the future as I look at future ball purchases.

Nice shooting.  Glad to hear you like the 300C.  I think the 300C is a very underrated piece.  Have you changed the surface on yours?  I drilled mine 65* x 4-1/4" x 45* (pin in ring, no weight hole), and found it to be too skid/flip at box surface.  Hit it on the spinner with 500/1000/2000/3000 and 4000 Abralon, and it is much calmer on the backend.  It is still a bit stronger than I expected, but it works great on lighter conditions.  I have found that when my 920T (65* x 5" x 45*, pin in ring) is too much, I can pick up the 300C and move a few boards right and I'm back in the pocket.  The 300C is a great piece from Track, especially at the price point.

I have not changed the out of box, at first it did jump but as I now have over 20 games on it, it has really smoothed out.  Definitely stronger than I would have expected but like I said once I got some games on it, it has become a very controllable piece for the light to light-medium conditions.
