811a SE- need peoples takes on this!

For those who have thrown this, what is your take on it?  I just picked up a NIB with very decent specs.  Haven't thrown a Track ball post Columbia SA days

I haven't thrown it, but I've never heard anything bad about it. I've looked at getting it myself a couple times in the past

Having thrown some Track over the past 2 years, they do have some good equipment.  The 505T has been a good match on some heavier volume medium patterns and I still use it from time to time.  The Shuttle Core is still one of the better asymmetrical cores that I've seen in a while.  Pair that with the cover on the 505T and it gives you a versatile ball in that range.

My 919C was pretty good but it tended to be way more condition specific after putting it to the test on multiple patterns.  I ended up selling it because I had overlap in my arsenal and just preferred throwing my Defiant, Rogue Cell or Critical Theory on the heavier volumes.  The ball wasn't bad, but just not as versatile as I had hoped.  In the end, the ball was a really good match for one of my good friends who had been throwing Brunswick.

If you're interested in Track, they do have some really good releases out now.  IMO, their line has gotten better over the past few years and it would be worth a try.

I have one, and when i can use this ball it is Flippin AWESOME...

the ball is very angular!  and does need plenty of oil too..    I did mine just a simple pin up over the fingers, which puts the pin about 5.5 from my pap, and have the MB right next to the thumb hole...

I bought one and thought it was just awful. Ball would not move for me. Tried multiple surface changes and hand position changes and nothing worked.. all in all i had it a month and traded it to someone on here. Best bet is try to sell it to someone who absolutely is in love with this ball and use the money to buy a storm ball. lol

I had one and sold it almost immediately.   My driller drilled it to go long because I usually play outside where its dry.  This ball never moved regardless of where I used it.

Sell it and get a Hyroad Pearl.

It's an OK ball. Heard and seen mixed rresults. Speed dominant guys hated it, strokers tended to love the ball. I never had one but drilled a couple and they rolled decent for others. If you want it then as Bill said, drill it with your favorite layout and go from there. If not then hold on to it and try to move it down the line.

Absolutely loved mine (had back to back 800s with it).  But I throw slower (@16.5 mph off the hand) and had it drilled to read early (pin @ 4 inches from PAP next to ring finger with lower quadrant balance hole).  It needed head oil to work and I would never throw it more than 3 games (often no more than 2).  So I can see where some would not like it, though I have not personally seen anyone else use the ball.
