What to keep in my bag?
« on: January 02, 2007, 05:41:03 AM »
So I have a dillema...I have a 4 ball bag, but 5 balls to choose from.  Could you guys help me out with what to keep?  I already know I want to keep a spare ball for those pesky 7 pins, but Im torn between the last three.  So here's what I have:

Power Machine: Stock Cover - Pin over ring finger, CG kicked 2 inches from center line with MB directly in line with pin and cg.

Mean Machine: 1500 grit cover - Pin under ring, MB kicked out about 45-60 degrees

Equation: 2000 grit polished - Pin over ring, CG kicked 1.5 inches from center line

Heat Blast: 2000 grit abralon - Pin over bridge with CG stacked directly under (basically center of palm)

My main house is a fairly medium house shot with almost desert dry boards outside of the 10 board.  The other two houses are substantially more oily requiring stronger equipment.  Please fill my bag =)

I would say take out the Equation.. sadly i must say this, but i really don't think you need it. The Power Machine and Equation are kinda close. You'll probably need the Heat Blast more. Hope this helps!!

Noy,

I'd keep the Mean Machine, Power Machine and Equation.  These 3 along with the spare ball, and you should be well set for any THS you see.  Hope this helps.

Hey Noy,

I also have the same problem too for awhile. I decide to bring all five ball to every bowling center. I put the spare ball on top of the bag and let it lean on the bar. You can get a buff a bag to caryy it if you want to.

If you go with 4 balls I would take out the Equation. Also you need an oily ball to make a complete arsnal. I recommend the Robo Rule, that is one awesome ball and drill it like you MM.

Pin positions affect flare, and flare affects friction, and then friction affects ball reaction.

I agree, either put the ball on the top of the bag (watch the bumps in the road ) or get a KR joey or one of those buff bags and you've got 5 balls with you!
