Crunch Time vs. Crash
« on: April 08, 2004, 09:33:27 PM »
Basically wanna know how they compare. Given that all specs are the same ie. drill pattern, lane condition etc... How do these balls differ in reaction?? Tenpinspro recommended I put a 3x4 drill on a Crash if I get one. Lets say we have both of these balls with that drill on them, based on my specs(in my profile), how would each one react/differ?? Which one is stronger??

Hey Rock,

Based on your wants from the Crash, to be able to have a little more length and backend is why I recommended the 3x4. However, based on your lower track, I had mentioned the CrunchTime because I feel it is a stronger ball overall and would naturally eat thru carrydown better for you and still have a strong backend as well.  Let's see what the other guys think....

I have the Crunch Time and I love it. It took me a little while to get used to it but it hooks alot and goes through the heads very easily ans it hits extremely hard. I would definately reccommend this Ball.

Ex, I figured between you and Rick I would get a pretty concrete answer. I just wanted to see what everyone else had to say about the 2 balls. I had read in another post that the Crash has this tremendous flip and backend!! Kinda sparked my interest again!! Thanks guys!!

Rick, i will talk to you tomorrow!!

Bowldoc, thanks for the reply. Actually, I am looking for something that will get me an earlier start on the lane but will still be a strong ball. After speaking with Tenpinspro about my game he mentioned that because of my track and PAP location I naturally get length out of a ball. So until I can learn to raise my track, I need to throw equipment that is early moving. Again, thanks for your reply!!

Have a Crash sitting in my trunk and have played with it some.  If it isn't pearlized, at least partially, I'll eat my tie.
