Question
« on: April 26, 2004, 10:44:59 PM »
I am joining a Summer Track Ball League.  Currently my lineup is the following:
Phenom
TT
Storm Reactive Eraser
Storm Barbed Wire
Maxim

Boooooo to those Storms, I know!  Especially the Barbed Wire (should have been  Dry Heat)!  Anyway, I have not used my Phenom or my TT all that much because they usually hook too much for me, so I plan on keeping those because they are practically new.  I am looking for a ball between my TT and my Barbed Wire to sort of replace my Eraser, and so I am leaning toward the Havoc or the Crunch Time.  I throw a pretty high rev ball, and Track's ball selector on their website seems to show the Havoc is better for higher rev players, and it shows the Havoc as a pretty versatile ball.  All I can recall hearing about the Havoc from you guys is that it hooks a lot more than expected.  If I could get any Track ball with this arsenal, which one would you guys suggest (does not have to be limited to the Crunch Time or Havoc) to round out my arsenal the best?

Thanks ahead of time, I appreciate your responses.

Have not thrown a Havoc, but I have a Crunch Time and it is a very good reactive ball to fit into that spot!! I love my Crunch Time!

Tell'em Rock77..

Hey Mike,

Let me give you the differences and you can pick because this is open for you to choose.

Havoc - smoother overall reaction
CrunchTime - a little cleaner thru the heads with a stronger backend
Sheer Havoc - (based on numbers) also smooth but less ball then the Havoc

Pretty difficult to say because all 3 of these are a good fit.  More important is what kind of reaction are you looking for?  Do you want the smooth look of  Havoc or Sheer, or do you want a little more skid with backend like the CT?  All very good choices to pick from...

I think I am going to go with the CT then.  My TT is usually too smooth for the lanes, or too much ball for the lanes.  I don't want another ball like that, so I think I will try the CT.

Thanks for the insight.
