Track Clean & Sheen

I resurfaced the cover on my Havoc last night as it has a ton of games and needed it. After resurfacing it, I applied some "Clean & Sheen" on it. The bottle says it..... "removes sanding marks and scratches"..... plus it also says..... "leaves a smooth dull finish". After I applied this Clean & Sheen, it left the ball in a light polished condition and not dull as the bottle says. Also it didn't remove sanding marks as the bottle states.

What is this Clean & Sheen really supposed to do as it didn't do what the bottle says.

Brickguy,

My experience with Clean n Sheen is that when you apply it you need to use very little pressure because the pressure tends to add more of a gloss and sanding marks.  

Remember, Clean n Sheen is a compound.......for me it works just as any other compound has.

And as for removing sanding lines??????? (which it didn't for me, even with pressure)

If you apply it with minimal pressure, it won't put as much of a gloss on the ball. It will remove some sanding lines depending on what grit you finished with prior to using the CNS. If you used it right after a maroon pad or green pad, then it probaly won't take it all out. If you used a grey pad before the CNS, it will make the job a little easier for the CNS.

Also, it seems to work better if you apply it by hand rather than a spinner. The spinner will cause the shine you're getting. Doing it by hand takes longer, but you get better results with this particular product.

Exactly as these guys say.....the lower the grit you left the ball with, the tougher it will be for the Clean n Sheen to get the lines out. Also, I have found out I can really get a ball glassed with lots of pressure on a spinner using Clean n Sheen....
