Track Coverstocks

Has anybody had any problems with their Track equipment dying out after x amount of games? How durable are Track coverstocks?

As long as they are well maintained they have a very good life span.
I have a Phenom Unleashed that I have been using for over 3 years, it still works great and will handle just as much oil as the day I got it. It was my go to ball over the summer when I was playing on PBA pattern B/Shark (44').

Coverstock durability is one of the reasons i love Track
so much. You cannot kill them.

I would tell you about my Track HAVOC and the 300 or more games on it and still rolling as strong as NIB, but everyone gets tired of me bragging on that ball so I will stop here.

Psst....Honestly though, this cover should have came with a lifetime warranty as it seems it is going to last forever

I have yet to see a Track ball "die", this includes the super strong covers such as the Animal's and the Rule GP2's. These covers take in a good amount of oil and as long as they are kept clean by the user then they will last a very long time!!!!

I can kill a coverstock very fast. Now I use track mostly because of the length of life the coverstocks have. I have yet to find a big problem with the coverstocks just "dieing" on me.

My Triton Elites core finally die on me after about 9 years and probably somewhere in the area of 10,000-15,000 games. Personally I think that is awesome. Right now my Heat has somewhere in the area of 300-400 games on it and it is still rolling like it did the day I drilled it.  Track probably makes the longest lasting coverstock on the market.

To add to my original response:

I have not had a Track ball that tracked up quickly.I bowl primarily on older wood lanes, so they have had a chance to get pretty beat up and they haven't.  In the past I have used releases from other companies and track wear would be almost immediate.

I've yet to have any problem with Track coverstocks, and I've been throwing 8 different Track balls for the past 3 years. As long as you keep up on the cleaning after every set and deep cleaning every 15-20 games I think you can get a solid 3-5 years worth of use from any Track ball, only requiring resurfacing as necessary depending on the surface you bowl on. I bowl on a mixture of wood and synthetic lane beds and still get good reaction from some of the equipment that I've put 400-500 games on.
