Track 919C
« on: August 23, 2011, 02:51:04 AM »
So the 919C has been out for 2 weeks so far. How is everyone liking it? I feel it is definitely our best 9 series ball to date!!! Track has really out done themselves.

Sir,  have sold a few of them so far...With leagues just starting, still waiting on some feedback...

However I will say this...One of the sales was to a person who has the 715 C...And he was so
impressed with that ball that when he heard of the new 919C, he wanted to give it a try...

Great JLS. I have sold a few. I have also had a lot of inquires from people who have had the 715C and are looking at the 919C.

Not caring for the ball right now.  Bowled a couple of leagues with the 919C and carry is not good and its a little under-over.  I think the 718A is a tremendous ball and the 920A is a little too strong for THS but good to have and I also drilled the 503C which fits well below the 718A.  But I was hoping the 919C would replace my Nano and I don't see that happening.  I was hoping to go 920A, 919C, 718A (607A(SE) cracked either a second 718A or a Hornet/Blue urethane Hammer.

But I might have to keep my original Virtual Gravity and move down the set keeping the 919C for practice until I feel comfortable with it in league.

My 919C easily out hooks my 920A. How is yours drilled? I have noticed if you drill the new balls strong, they are bleeding energy too fast and look like they are not hooking. Mine is drilled 5 1/2 inches from my axis with mass bias at about 55 degrees. It will hook on anything for me. My Rev rate is about 300 and my speed is about 17.

My 920A has the pin under the bridge but a little right almost 1/4 under the ring finger and MB kicked 2 1/2 right and the 919C has the pin over the bridge and MB kicked right about 2 1/2 inches.

But I practiced today with the 920A (still stronger) 718A  drilled the same as the 919C and is flippier and the 503C that has potential.  But the 919C is wearing on me and looks like a ball that will fit under the Nano and plays a similar line to the 718A, just not as flippy off the break point.

I drilled two 919C's.  One with the pin above my ring finger and the mass bias 2 inches to the right of my thumb.  I used a 1000 pad with my hand to rough up the track.  This ball works very well in heavy oil.  My rev rate is in the upper 300's and my ball speed is mid 17's. This ball is very good on the longer patterns.  The other 919 has a pin 3 1/2 inches from my PAP and the mass bias is 1/2 inch to the left of my thumb hole.  This is my favorite drilling in the higher number balls.  I have not touched the surface.  This drilling makes the ball rev early but even out on the back.  Here in Louisville there is a lot of friction out on most THS's.  This drilling allows me to throw the higher end stuff on league shots with out moving much.  The ball will not jump out of the dry, just rolls out of it.  Very controlled reaction.  I recommend the higher rev players trying this drilling.  I think the 919C is by far the best 9 ball and maybe the best Track ball to date.  I will say this though,  this ball to me will not hook like some of the other big hooking balls from other brands.  I do believe this makes the 919 more league friendly than the other companies big hook balls.  Compared to the other 9 balls, this one hooks in the right spot and continues thru the pins.  Other 9 balls did not do this for me.  With the exception of the 920T, the others hooked early and quit.  No sign of the 919C doing this.  Great ball!
