Track Cracking out?
« on: October 05, 2003, 12:01:52 AM »
I had a Freak about christmas, the finger holes cracked out, so i sent it back and got an X-Factor. I just got a phenom and after 15 games the pin is cracking out but the place i got it from won't take it back. Anyone else having problems with Track equipment cracking out?

I have put far more than 15 games on one of my Phenoms and it is not even close to cracking. Is the pin real close to the finger holes?

I put probably 120 games on one of the Freaks I had and 60 on the other.
I put 150 games on my Freak Out.
I put 300 games on one of the Mutants I have and about 50 on the other.
I put 45 games (probably less though) on my Super Freak.
I put 80 games on my Thrash
I put probably 40 games on an already used Voo Doo
I already listed one Phenom and I probably have 20 games on the other.

Not one of them cracked. I made sure the holes were properly beveled/rounded. If you leave the holes real sharp, they will crack-----they meaning ANY bowling ball.

If your driller drills the holes too fast it will crack. I have 6 track, 3 columbia, 1 ebonite, 1 brunswick. All balls ok except, 1 track and 1 columbia which were drilled at the same time by the same driller both cracked. My .02
