FAZ
« on: March 07, 2005, 03:29:15 AM »
If I drill my FAZ with the #3 drilling on the sheet (pin above ring finger and cg kicked out to the right) and I polish it up, will this give me a skid/flip reaction?

Hey Wylie,

The Bartender's description is pretty much on, the lower rg design of the FAZ wants it to roll a little early.  You can try and place a pin up drilling for some more length and it can give you some additional backend but it will not have the natural strength and backend compared to say an Arsenal Angular (which is designed to do this naturally).  Hope this helps some...

That drilling would be flippy on the X or Angular, but the FAZ is SO EVEN, it is really not a flippy ball at all. Mine is a great benchmark ball due to its evenness.

You guys were right, much stronger than I was expecting.  Actually covers as many if not a couple more boards than my Rule which is drilled for control with a 1"pin.  I worked with my coach after league last night and we decided to polish my Rule and use it for the lower mediums.  Turns out to be a pretty good move.  Seems like they are going to be a combo.
