I got the June issue of BTM early, the Blue Heat and Desert Heat are in it.

Comments on the Desert are all positive.......for a ball made for dry lanes

He must be referring to Bowlers Journal, BTM does not rate Morich balls.

Since I have not drilled my Blue Heat or Desert Heat yet, I will go on what they have said.

The Blue Heat from the sounds of it will not be replacing anything in the current line, it is only an addition. A few boards weaker than the Arsenal Aggressive, and a few boards stronger than the Heat. MY GUESS is that this ball is going to cover a similiar number of boards as the Arsenal Angular, only in a different way.

Just going by the numbers alone, as I don not have a Blue yet, from being particle, the Blue should be stronger up front (roll earlier) and have a little less backend. Would be able to handle more oil overall than the Slash.

thanks Clint. What I am dealing with is sloppy lanes. they only run the heads. and no stripping.

I have seen the ball skid jump and skid in the first 45 feet the outside 10 are to slick for a polished resin ball to come back. a  sheen particle ball is just too much. makes for a good time.

 I'm looking at the blue heat, slash, heat and if my proshop can get it, a hexplosion.

I'm with you on particles rule! 3 out of 4 balls I buy are particle. the few resin I have liked I should have kept and bought duplicates for!

Omega,

The Blue Heat is going to be earlier rolling and less backend. You are dealing with a coverstock difference. The Blue Heat will have some backend when there is enough oil to get it down the lane.
My thoughts would be this: The Slash as a benchmark ball, the Blue Heat when you need a little bit earlier read on the lane.

They rated the Blue heat as oily 9/8/8
                            med 8/9/9
                            dry 3/3/3
                            Sport 6/5/5

Also BTM said it has a good rolling mid lane and it will need plenty of head oil to preform best.
