Track Equipment for ABC Nationals
« on: February 14, 2005, 07:32:04 PM »
Hi All,

Leaving for Nationals on Wednesday and I have no idea what equipment to take. To make it worse I hurt my back bowling the TAT and the Mini in Vegas so I will have to go from 16lbs to 15lbs just to throw the ball comfortably. My choices are limited so I may have to drill something while I'm there. I wanted to start this post so we can share experiences to ensure that Track has a good showing in Baton Rouge. Any information will be helpful to someone.

Thanks,
DW

I would take some even rolling balls. Slash, Hexplosion, Havoc, and a ball for the extremes...Dry Heat, Crash, GP2, Animal.

Just my suggestion if I was going...I have not received my Arsenals yet, so I can not comment on them yet.

I had 8 bowling balls with me......
Plastic Boxing Glove
Arsenal Angular Particle
Arsenal Aggressive Particle
All 4 GP2s
And Xception drilled for length

Of the 8 I only used 2 of the GP2s, the Arsenal Angular, the Boxling Glove, and the Arsenal Aggressive.

EX,

When did you bowl. Someone I saw had a good shot with the Arsenal Angular on the high side for doubles and singles on Friday. That wouldn't have been you would it?

Hey DW, based on what Ex said earlier, you must have kept catching him on his good lane..  Good luck to you bud...I'm going at the end of March.

I was a couple of pairs over with a loud group that were the last to finish on the squad. I hurt my back the week before the trip and with my high back swing I couldn't throw my 16 pound equipment. I went in the back of my closet and took out the only 15 pound balls I had and took those. Needless to say it was not a fun trip, well until I got to Bourbon Street.

DW,

Did you notice a difference lane to lane on each pair like I did?

EX.
There was definitely a difference from lane to lane. I still had a more consistent reaction from inside. My carry wasn't great but I rarely missed the pocket.

Tenpinspro,
Every time I looked over Ex. through a strike. I looked over 4 or 5 times so I assumed he shot 750.

So there you have it folks......be prepared to have 2 different shots on a pair. Heads up from a couple of us that had to find that out for ourselves *L*
