Title: Track Freak vs Phenom
Post by: TJFreaky24 on May 01, 2005, 04:52:26 AM
I know these are some oldies as far as Track is concerned, but I was curious as to how they matched up. Numbers wise, they appear pretty similar...but I was curious what everyone could tell me about how they match up side by side.

I had both, drilled a little different, but have to tell you that the freak was like a hockey stick (reaction wise) whenever i threw it. Complete skid snap on almost any lane condition besides lighter/shorter patterns.

The phenom revved up more in the midlane and hooked about 3 boards more for me overall than the freak. This was with both balls at 1500 grit dull.

My Phenom was very aggressive early in the lane. I would have to say, if I remember right, they hooked about the same for me, but the Phenom was earlier and the Freak had more backend....but that is back over a year....but its pretty close.

For me, the Phenom was quite a bit stronger, about 4-5 boards throughout the entire lane. It definately rolled up sooner, but maintained as much if not a touch more backend reaction that the Freak had.
