This time we had the chance to try the Track Kinetic Emerald and so far we are impressed with this ball.
The first time we tried this ball was on an Ebonite Demo day in my hometown. I tried all the balls they had available that day, but the Kinetic was definitely my favorite.
I started around 15 and crossing the second arrow and the ball never missed the pocket. My first 9 shots were strikes, misses left and the ball had enough energy to make it back to the pocket, misses inside and the ball was able to create enough hook through the oil. The ball is really clean and it has a strong backend motion, definitely not a skid-flip motion, but stronger than I thought it was gonna be... The ball is definitely stronger than advertised.
I was able to play from different angles, down and in and when I had to jump inside, laying around 20 and crossing 15, the ball still made it back to kick those corner pins. Usually with my low rev rate, playing around 15 for me means that I am gonna leave a lot of flat 7s, that didn't happen with the Kinetic.
I've been using this ball lately in leagues and so far I am really happy with it. This is a great ball for the transition because it gives you great length and a strong, but controlled backend motion. Thankfully, as I said before is not a skid flip kind of motion... The Kinetic has a nice midlane read, but saves a lot of energy for the last part of the lane.
I have used it on fresh as well and the ball doesn't disappoint, I can keep my angles close and the ball blends the wet/dry nicely, but I feel like I have to be more accurate to have better carry. For me it performs even better when I find more friction to jump in and swing the ball.
If you need to ball down after your big hooking monster starts creating a lot of friction, then the Kinetic is a great option to have in your bag. I think you won't be disappointed.
Thank you for watching!
