Title: Track Lineup/Arsenal- What am I missing?
Post by: Ramtart on September 29, 2005, 09:51:42 AM
Ok guys, I am getting a Heat punched up pretty soon to go under my Slash.
I'm also planning on getting my hands on a Desert Heat when the lanes start burning up pretty bad. Here's my current lineup with balls I'm getting soon (Heat & Desert) below...

Heavy Oil - Rule GP2 (Particle/Solid/Assymetrical)
Medium Heavy - Heavy Oil - Rule Delta 1 (Reactive/Solid/Asymetrical)
---> EMPTY SLOT <----
Most Mediums Benchmark Ball - Slash (Reactive/Solid/Symetrical)
Medium Light - Heat (Reactive/Pearl/Symmentrical)
Light/Burnt - Desert Heat (Reactive/Pearl/Symmetrical

Here's the question. What do you guys think would fit pretty good in between the Delta and the Slash? The Delta and Slash are in two different worlds. While the Reactive can handle more oil and is more angular, the Slash is a great read ball and is smooth. I wonder what I can put above the Slash? I've noticed that I don't have a Particle Pearl (X5.0 seems to be the only one in current lineup), but have all the other surface/core combos pretty much covered.

Any ideas guys? Here are some balls to start off with below.
Just trying to get some ideas flowin'.

Xception 5.0? (Particle/Pearl/Asymmetrical)
Xception? (Reactive/Pearl/Asymetrical)
Arsenal Reactive (Reactive/Pearl?/Symmetrical)
Arsenal Aggressive? (Particle/Solid/Symmetrical)
Blue Heat? (Particle/Solid/Symmetrical)
Rule? (Reactive/Asymmetrical)

Thanks a bunch,
Rample Stiltskin

Ram...I see many options here. Don't forget about the Arsenal Angular as a particle pearl symmetrical as well. I think ANY of the following would fit:

1. 5.0
2. X
3. Angular
4. Rule-if you can find one

I think the Aggressive and Blue Heat are out due to their dull solid particle cover, and I think (mine are) the Delta and Reactive could be too close to each other.

i would say the xception, a different look on the lanes, could be quite a different look compared to those early rolling balls.

Ramil,

You have 2 choices.....X 5.0 or Arsenal Reactive. The Arsenal Reactive with its OOB finish is stronger overall, but the X 5.0 is going give you different type reaction than the Delta 1 and SLash. The Slash and Delta 1 are generally strong and pretty smooth (given coverstock preps ofcourse), the 5.0 is going to give you a different look it is going to go longer and have an abrupt move on the backend. It really depends on the "look" you are hoping to get out of that slot.
