Is there any Track ball today that is close the the old Track Mutant?

From what i have read on the mutant i think you want something in the 9 series. Sanded 919C or 916AT. But it also depends on how your friend uses it, surface, layout, blah blah blah ....

The problem with socialism is, you eventually run out of other people's money too...
