Help from Track experts please.
« on: August 10, 2015, 05:10:27 PM »
I'm looking for a Track ball that would have a "skid snap" reaction on medium to light conditions when played from the inside.  I'm thinking the Tour X but I don't know how strong it would be on a medium condition.  I have the Mx05 with box surface and, while it's a good ball, the back-end reaction is not what I'm looking for.   I also have the Lx05 but it's too strong and burns up too fast.  I don't know anything about the new balls.

I have slower speed (13-14) and medium revs.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Hx05 and I can't get the ball to work from inside or outside.  Changed the surface to 3000 but didn't help.  Could be just me but I don't think this is the answer.

Tour X is really your only other option if you have the HX05 and it doesn't fit how you want it to.

For me, the modified shuttle core that was in the 505c2 and is in the LxMxHx05 series gave me a good amount of flip. Hard to really suggest much else without seeing you bowl

I used a tour x for most of last season.  Have mine drilled pin above bridge.  For me, 13 - 14 mph, 300 - 325 rev, the ball has never been skid snap.  With enough side roll I can play over center arrow, but migrating any farther in usually doesn't work out well.  I suspect a stronger drilling could give you the reaction you're looking for perhaps.

The best way that I can describe the ball is this:  easy length, with a slightly angular (but smooth) move to the pocket. This ball is super predictable for me.

Last season I bowled in a house where the head oil went away quick and the backends have a tendency to over react.  My Asylum was too early, Outcry was too early, Yeti Untamed was too unpredictable off the dry, iQtp was long enough but a bit too over/under.  Simply put, the Tour X saved my season.
