Delta 1 vs P.U.
« on: October 30, 2005, 03:56:21 PM »
I have a Phenom Unleashed that I am ready to retire as it is starting to weaken a bit.
I was thinking that out of the current offerings the Delta 1 would be the closest in reaction shape and length.
Agree/disagree?

I have pretty much decided on getting one to replace my P.U. and am just looking for other's opinions.

Details on the P.U. and me are in my profile.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

If anyone has both and could post or send me a vid of them that would be GREAT.

Hey Sean,

A couple of my buddies had PU's as well and they have also retired (sold) theirs.

I have had my delta for about almost 2 months now. We have similar PAP locations (see my profile). I have mine drilled up with the Pin Under bridge and the MB in the Strong Position (5 1/2 x 4MB) and a weight hole about 6 inches over.

Very angular backend shape and can handle its' fair share of oil.
Do a search on the Delta and you'll find some reviews on this ball.
I see this ball being sharper on the backend if drilled exactly the same as your Phenom Unleashed.

Hope this helps!

If that is the case I better drill it a bit earlier both pin and MB cause my P.U. is VERY angular/flippy.
Never knew a particle could be so skid flip before I got it.
I have read all the reviews and seen the videos. Hoping to find someone that has both.

Thanks for your reply.

The ball that reminds me VERY much like the Unleashed is the Arsenal Aggressive. Both are light load particles, albeit different ones, but the Peak cover is absolutely AWESOME! The Aggressive is very even through the heads, just like the Unleashed was as well.

I agree with Ramilla Ice that the Delta will have a more angular move on the backend than the Unleashed, mainly due to the cover (Goo LS vs low load Fang particle and the Delta's core is so dense as well).

Storm Track,

The Delta would be a good choice for you. By nature if both were drilled identical the Delta is going to roll a bit sooner (even considering coverstock reactive vs particle).

I have 2 Delta's, one drilled for length and backend and one drilled to roll very early and even the one drilled for length will roll up pretty early.

I hope this helps,
Carl
